So today was both a little easier, and a little harder at the same time. It's Sabbath, and there is potluck. My goal for today was to try and eat a lot more. So for breakfast I cut up a whole peach about 5 strawberries, a whole banana a handful of blueberries, threw it all in a bowl, and ate it on the way to church. With a water bottle of course. No headache :) I think that's gone for good, but I still am craving and wanting coffee like you WOULD NOT BELIEVE!!! Anyway, so potluck comes, usually there is a ton of raw veggies and fruit at the end of the line.... nope, not today. But there were some salads with vegetable oil for dressing, and some crunchy raman noodle parts that i tried to pick out, it was the best I could do, I chose to cheat a teeny tiny bit rather than go hungry... but I did my best, while watching my husband, kids, and friends eat incredibly delicious food, there I sat with my pathetic salad... grrr.
So then after potluck I got home, put my running clothes on, and took Brody for a mile Run, which was nice. The weather was great for a run, sunny, but not too hot, and a breeze. Got home and tried doing as many sit ups as I could, which shamefully, I am embarrassed to admit, was only 37 before I had to stop. I plan on improving that number.
Then we all went over to our friends house for a Bible study and some fun. The plan was for the dinner to be hot dogs and brats on the grill. YUM. And my nose got a treat from it while my mouth had to suffer more lentils. The avocado and the tomato were what I looked forward to during MY meal. I also ate some sprouts, carrots, and broccoli. For desert I had strawberries and blueberries. Three meals accomplished today, surrounded by temptation. I'd say that's pretty good.

Day TWO
Amazingly, I did not get a single headache all day today! It only lasted the last half of the first day, how awesome is that! I've gone off caffeine before w/o this kind of diet, and it lasted me at least two and a half days, so my conclusion is that all the water to flush it out, and all the fruits and veggies with their antioxidants killing it, made the headache stay away. Unfortunately, I'm running into a problem... besides the fruit, I HATE the choices of food I have to eat with not being able to add anything "bad" to it... ugh, so what's happening instead of cheating, I'm just not eating... NOT GOOD. I ate breakfast (same salad I mentioned on day one) and an early dinner (plain lentils with a salsa kind of thing i made by blending an onion, tomato, and avocado) it wasn't awful, but it wasn't something I'm dying to eat again either...
And I'm getting pretty annoyed with the constant having to pee all the time... and I don't even think I'm drinking near the amount of water that is recommended still! I don't know, But I have noticed that my complexion, already just on day two has looked so much better! I can tell I'm less "puffy" with water, my face is a little more defined, and my skin looks brighter. Incredible how fast that worked. This is hard.... I honestly wish I didn't choose to do this, despite the positive outcomes I'm receiving so far.
As far as exercise today, I mowed my lawn, and thought that was good enough in the place of pilates... I know it doesn't even compare. But oh well.

Day ONE!!
WHAT did I get myself into... haha, no.. really. I love coffee more than ever, now that I havn't had any in over 24 hours...
So, yesterday morning didn't start off too bad, I wanted some coffee, yes, but it wasn't too hard to resist. Didn't get a chance to go the grocery store the day before to prepare for this, so unfortunately I had to skip a breakfast, since I had nothing on the "okay" list to eat, so I went to the store, and got a TON of fruits, veggies, nuts, and beans, and the clerk was probably thinking I was some sort of freak... anyway, came home and made the yummiest salad EVER! Really, the yummiest. It was: (something I just made up) but, 1 c baby spinach, 1/2 c alfalfa sprouts, 1/3 c blueberries, 1/4 c sunflower seeds, 2 huge strawberries, and a Tbs olive oil. YUM. so far, it's the ONLY thing I look forward to eating. Even my kids asked for some and ate their own.
After that, I somehow got myself to do an hour of pilates, which the kids also had fun doing with me... they tried their best, but after what I saw, I think I might make it mandatory that they do it with me everyday, lol.
Okay, so meanwhile, I'm drinking way more water than normal.... which very unhealth-aly sad to say, the only water i recall drinking on a normal basis was the water I added to my coffee, then some before bed. So yeah, this is hard for me to remember to drink the water. But I've been putting lemon slices in it, and that's yummy.
Now comes 4:00, and I'm making delicious food for supper for my very lucky family :) and I'm still doing okay, no cheating... but this is the time of day when I fill up my coffee cup again before I head out to work. Now you'd think that the most important cup of coffee, or most difficult not to have would be the first cup, the morning cup. But apparently not. All of a sudden like a force of violent nature, came the headache... full impact, all at once. Bam, here I am, drink some coffee!!!! But no, i refused... and went to work, grumpy and in pain, with my bags of veggies in hand. grrr.
Two hours into work, my feet are REALLY dragging, and if I close my eyes for a second I will be out like a light... this is not good. Well, the doctors had a meeting last night, and when that happens, they order catering... which is absolutely delicious... and alas, temptation got the best of me and I had a tiny cookie. *sigh. It tasted so good.
So that was the first day, got home, fell right to sleep, and now on to day two... which so far isn't going too bad, NO HEADACHE currently!! which is awesome, but I'm sure it will be coming. But I really am craving some naughty food.
I'm expecting to lose quite a bit of water weight during this, seeing as how I CRAVE AND LOVE salty foods, all the time, love it!! And how I never drink water, so I'm just pretty much a water balloon, lol, so now that I'm not eating salt, and drinking tons of water, I'm sure it will all come out.
I'm 5'3 starting weight at the beginning of day one is 113 lbs.
weight the morning of day two is 110.
If you imagine yourself to be a wild animal, living to survive, eating plain veggies, fruits and nuts really isn't so bad...
